Our solution

In Nagel’s technical center, this process begins with the highest precision. Using real components – inside and out – we develop sound machining processes that are precisely tailored to the material, geometry and requirements. This results in near-series processes, proven cutting tools and customized solutions that sustainably strengthen your production.

Brake disk machining

Precision for safety-relevant processes. Different vehicle types and areas of application require specific brake disc types and individually adapted coatings. These directly influence the grinding process, which must guarantee maximum precision and tight tolerances – especially for safety-relevant components. Nagel develops the right coating system and the optimum machining strategy together with the customer or based on their specifications. Even during the development phase, test cuts through the brake ring and SEM images provide clear conclusions about the quality of the selected technology – even before a component reaches the brake test bench.
